How often does one find animal and environmentally friendly products that are well designed, good quality and cute? Not too often! We all know that when people say that they make animal friendly shoes it usually means putting a sack on each of your feet and tying a piece of rope around your ankle to keep them in place.
In my quest to to become a notable shoe designer I came across a Cape Town based shoe designer and manufacturer who makes his own shoes from henna products - another useful way of using this lovely green plant. His name is Grandt and his website is www.g-mo.co.za. I can not wait to meet this inspired being, who is one of the few people I have come across who make their own shoes and does not just send designs overseas to be manufactured.
